Kyle Dannert Bass and Guitar	Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Applied Music Performance from State University of New York at New Paltz. Taught music and performed professionally throughout high school and college. Has taught at Eastside Guitars and Drums since August 1994. Currently performs with the alt-punk-country combo The Bitterman, and the funky-pop band The Watts Specializes in bass guitar, voice, ukulele, and guitar. Kyle’s Elementary education training gives him an advantage when teaching younger students.
Tony Christopher Drums	Studied privately for three years at the Charlie Wood Music Center in Greenville South Carolina (now Watson Wood). Studied privately at Furman University, Greenville South Carolina. Percussion captain at the Hughes Middle School drum and bugle corps Percussion captain at Mauldin High School. Percussion section leader, Carolina Youth Symphony. Winner of junior statewide drumset competition, 1987, winner rudimentalist of the year award 1988, winner John Philip Sousa award 1994. Percussion instructor for six years with the J.L. Mann High School marching band. Percussion instructor for three years with Greer High School marching band. Currently plays with numerous combos and bands in rock, jazz, jazz-fusion, and latin styles. Also currently pursuing private studies with acclaimed drummer Jeff Sipe. Specializes in technique, time development, rudiments, reading music, studying musical styles from rock, funk, jazz, and Latin. Currently studying music at Nort Greenville University
Kevin Heuer Drums	Has taught drums and percussion for nineteen years. Has led High School percussion sections in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. Currently an active studio musician throughout the Southeast. Is first-call drummer at Sonica Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Has performed and recorded with many well-known artists including the Athens, Georgia Vigilantes of Love, North Carolinian and Yep-Roc records artist Claire Holley, and Columbia, South Carolina’s Danielle Howle.
Shawn Allen Guitar	Bachelor degree in Guitar Performance from The University of Southern California. Honors Graduate of Musician’s Institute, Los Angeles, California. Professor of Guitar at Blue Ridge College, Hendersonville, SC. Currently pursuing a Masters degree in Guitar Performance. Has taught at the South Carolina Governor’s School and at Presbyterian College. Served as Musical Director for several local theater groups and performed in the pit orchestra. Currently performs solo and with the classical duet Spatha, which has released a critically acclaimed CD and toured throughout the US (www.spathamusic.com). Specializes in classical guitar and music theory, also proficient in rock, bluegrass, jazz, and Latin music (www.shawn-allen.com).
Zach Guttery Guitar	Studied privately at the Paul Meuller Percussion Studio in Indianapolis, Indiana. Studied drums in High School and at Ball State University. Studied guitar at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. Studied privately with Shawn Allen. Performed with alt-noise rock combo Marion throughout the Southeast. Started teaching at Eastside Guitars and Drums in 2000. Currently leads the alt-punk-country combo The Bitterman, who are set to release their first CD this year. Specializes in rhythm guitar, songwriting, and rock styles.
Jeff Ridings Guitar	Has been playing guitar since the age of twelve. Studied privately with Shawn Allen for over five years. Studied jazz guitar at the Fine Arts Center in Greenville. Also studied privately with Steve Watson of Watson-Wood Music. Has played guitar professionally in California and throughout the Southeast. Currently performs with alt-punk-country combo The Bitterman, who are set to release their first full-length CD this year. Specializes in traditional country and is well-versed in rock, jazz, blues, bluegrass and classical styles.
Brandon Dyke Guitar	Bachelor’s Degree in Guitar Performance from Toccoa Falls College. Brandon is an avid composer and arranger. Currently working on “Jazz Studies For The Classical Guitarist”, his first book. Has studied privately with Joe Braccio, Mitchell Turner, and Keith Gehle. Selected to play in a master class with David Burgess. Several of Brandon’s students have earned degrees in guitar. Currently performs solo and with the classical duet Spatha, which has released a critically acclaimed CD and toured throughout the US (www.spathamusic.com). Specializes in classical guitar, and is also well-versed in jazz, Latin, rock, and fusion styles.
Wendy Curtis Voice & Piano	Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art with a piano and voice minor from Florida State University. Winner of the Alma Goudes Encouragement Award from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2001. Received highest score - Superior Plus - from the National Guild of Piano Teachers, Massachusetts Division, in 1992. Recently taught voice and piano at the Cambridge School of Weston, Norwood High School, and Harborlight Montessori Schools in Massachusetts. Currently a professional opera singer, having performed with several opera companies and orchestras for over seven years. Has directed and choreographed several musical theater scenes and co-directed choruses. Wendy is proficient in numerous vocal and piano styles, from classical to opera as well as show tunes and modern jazz and pop music.
Keith Groover Guitar, Bass and Upright Bass	Spent four years as the praise band and orchestra director for Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Taylors, SC Bachelor of Music degree in music theory and composition from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC Studied for two years with renowned bassist Bruce Bransby at Indiana University Keith plays bass guitar with local band The Party Crashers, and performs with another band, The Wind-Ups, on guitar and vocals He is also playing cello and guitar and arranging praise and worship music for Downtown Presbyterian Church in Greenville Keith is an experienced guitar and bass teacher and his strengths are with rock, classical, and praise music, emphasizing technique, music theory, and ear training
John Pinkerton Drums	Has played drums since the age of nine John has studied extensively with our own teachers Kevin Heuer and Tony Christopher, as well as Kenny Hogan He is the percussion captain at Hillcrest High School Has attended numerous All-County and All-Region band clinics Has attended the National Guitar Workshop for two consecutive years Studied at the “Bass at the Beach” program with Victor Wooten and Steve Bailey Is currently performing with Dale Burke’s Saint Louis Jazz www.daleburkemusic.com , singer/songwriter David Walker www.davidwalkeronline.com , and the country/punk experiment The Bitterman John specializes in rock, funk, jazz, marching and concert/symphonic percussion styles Currently studies music theory and classical guitar with Shawn Allen, and has studied bass with Kyle Dannert for 4 years.
Todd King Guitar	Has over twenty years experience performing and teaching guitar. Member of the Grace Church praise band for five years. Studied privately with Charlie Woods at The Greenville Academy of Music in Greenville, SC Currently pursuing his studies with Eastside Guitars' own Shawn Allen Former lead guitarist with the critically acclaimed Christian metal band "Birthright" Lead guitar player for the "Parris Blues" band Specializes in rock, metal, blues, and country styles
Greg Sundt Brass Instruments	Has over thirty-one years experience performing and teaching brass instruments. Bachelor Degree in Brass Performance and Pedagogy from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan Masters Degree in Brass Performance and Pedagogy from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio with extensive studies in conducting Member, Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). Performer and conductor in a variety of choral and instrumental settings Can teach all levels, beginner through advanced, on all brass instruments
Sam Burgess Guitar, Bass and Mandolin	Has been teaching since the late 1980's Taught at Phil's music in Mauldin, SC for sixteen years, thirteen as head guitar and bass instructor Studied music theory, composition, performance, education, and general education in college Extensive playing experience solo and in bands for over twenty years Currently plays with the fusion-jazz trio CBS Band, and progressive rock band Symbolic Treason, as well as working on an acoustic/classical solo project Recorded at various studios and venues throughout the Southeast, including with John Keane (REM engineer), and members of Bread and Kansas

Andrew Parker Drums	12 years of playing experience. First chair drum set player for Greer High School jazz ensemble. 7 years on snare drum in symphonic band. Accepted into Greenville's Fine Arts Center. 7 years of recording experience. 5 years of touring experience. Studied for seven years with Steven Gillespie (Greer symphonic/marching band) Studied for five years with Jim Kilgus (Greer percussion/jazz ensemble) Studied privately for four years with Kevin Heuer (Eastside Guitars and Drums)
