Wendy Curtis:
– Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art with a piano and voice minor from Florida State University.
– Winner of the Alma Goudes Encouragement Award from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2001.
– Received highest score – Superior Plus – from the National Guild of Piano Teachers, Massachusetts Division, in 1992.
– Recently taught voice and piano at the Cambridge School of Weston, Norwood High School, and Harborlight Montessori Schools in Massachusetts.
– Professional opera singer, has sung many roles over the years with several opera companies and orchestras in the United States and Italy.
– Has directed and choreographed several musical theater scenes and co-directed choruses.
– Wendy is proficient in numerous vocal and piano styles, from classical to opera as well as show tunes and modern jazz and pop music.
Wendy is the Music Director and leads a rocking praise band at Horizon PCA. She and her husband, Troy, enjoy cooking, hiking, and their PlayStation 3.
Randy Robertson:
– Bachelor of Music Education degree from Evangel University
– voice major with piano minor
– trained in classical music
– sang in several choirs and ensembles
– vocal soloist
– spent over 30 years as a Worship leader/Music Pastor
– designed sets, staged and directed several dramatic and musical productions
– lead worship from keyboard
– extensive experience with contemporary church bands and vocalists
Randy grew up in Greenville, but spent over 20 years in several states as a Music Pastor. He and his family moved back to Greenville in 2009, where Randy worked as a Worship Pastor for 9 years. He has been self-employed since September 2018 in a wood craft/artist business. He plays keyboard on a rotation schedule with the Upcountry Community Church worship band in Travelers Rest.
Randy enjoys drawing, wood art and making clay figures in his spare time. He and his wife, Dana, enjoy time together and trips to the mountains.
